J. Gardner Hodder is Senior Litigator at Hodder, Wang LLP in downtown Toronto. Called to the Bar in 1985, Gary brought an unusual background to the legal profession, having previously worked as a journalist and completed graduate studies in literature. He holds degrees from Harvard University, the University of Pennsylvania, and the University of Toronto. In 1996, he was certified by the Law Society of Upper Canada (now the Law Society of Ontario) as a Specialist in Civil Litigation. Beyond his legal practice, Gary has also written poetry, short stories, and journalistic articles. His litigation expertise spans banking, commercial disputes, employment law, complex litigation including class actions, and appellate advocacy, with appearances before all levels of Ontario courts up to the Supreme Court of Canada.
