Clemence completed her Juris Doctor degree at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2022. Before joining the firm, Clemence worked for 2 years on Bay Street as an associate at Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt, where her representative work included acting for Dream Industrial REIT (in partnership with a leading global sovereign wealth fund) in its $5.9 billion acquisition of Summit Industrial Income REIT, acting for CNH Industrial in its agreement to acquire Hemisphere GNSS for $175 million, and acting for Recursion in its acquisition of Valence Discovery for US$47.5 million. Clemence obtained her bachelor’s degree in international relations and history from the University of Toronto, and her master’s degree in international business law from L’Université Toulouse Capitole in France when she also worked at the global headquarters of L’Oreal in Paris in the luxury retail design team. A native of Beijing, Clemence is bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese, and has intermediate reading competency in French and Italian. She is well-adapted to working in multilingual professional environments and experienced in interacting with clients from various cultural backgrounds.
